Rotating and flipping images

Use geometry tools to change the orientation of the images. Using these tools, you can rotate or flip images but your changes are not saved to the database.

If your site is licensed to receive images from the IMPAX workstations (data currency), Smooth Rotation is not supported. Instead, images from IMPAX are rotated to the nearest supported value. A dialog opens indicating the rotation is not accurate.

To rotate an image

Select the image you want to transform.
To rotate the image 90° to the right, click Rotate right.

To rotate the image 90° to the left, click Rotate left.

To rotate the image 180°, click Rotate 180.

To restore the image to its original orientation perform the opposite rotation.

Note: If only one image is displayed, the change is made immediately. If multiple images are displayed, you must click the image to be changed.

To flip an image

To turn the image upside-down, click Flip vertical.

To mirror the image, click Flip horizontal.

To restore the image to its original orientation, click the same button again.
