Configuring the  computer settings

Use the Machine Profile tab on the Preferences tool to configure the settings for the computer you are working on. Contact your system administrator for assistance when customizing the settings for your computer.

Note: Customizing the  computer is not tied to your login ID.

To configure the computer settings

  1. Click Preferences and switch to the Client Machine Profile tab.
  2. To clear the memory cache, click Clear memory cache.
  3. The memory cache is self-managed and does not require clearing often.

  4. Navigate to the Pull All Cache location or accept the default (usually the temp directory).
  5. This is the directory where you want to store images that have been pulled through the server. Ensure the directory actually exists on the computer before selecting it.

  6. Specify the Disk Cache Size in megabytes.
  7. The size of the cache where you want to store the pulled images. Increase the size if you are pulling many large images.

  8. To clear the local cache, click Clear Local Cache.
  9. Under Monitor Settings, select Small or Large buttons depending on your preference.
  10. To return to the Display list, click Apply.
