Customizing  toolbars

The toolbars are completely customizable using the Toolbar Layout tab of the Preferences tool. Every time you log in, your customized toolbars appear as you last saved them.

Each toolbar is modality specific. For example, if you add the Show scout tool to the CT toolbar, the next time you log in and view a CT study, the Show scout tool is part of the toolbar for every CT study. It does not appear on your CR toolbar unless you add it while viewing a CR study.

Note: A tool cannot be added to both the main toolbar and the floating toolbar. A tool may only be added once. From the Toolbar Layout tab, you can determine whether the tools appear and their position on the toolbar.

To customize  toolbars

1. Click Preferences and switch to the Toolbar Layout tab.
2. Select the modality.
3. Click the tool button you want from All Tools.
4. Click the position on the toolbar where you want to place the tool and click Add.

To remove a tool button, select the button and click Remove.

5. Use the Shift keys to change the position: Up , Down , Left , or Right .
6. Click Apply to return to the Display list.

To copy one modality's toolbar to another modality

If the contents of a toolbar for a particular modality and body part contain most of what you require for another modality and body part, you can copy and paste the entire set of tools from one modality and body part toolbar to another.

1. Click Preferences and switch to the Toolbar Layout tab.
2. Select the modality for the toolbar you want to copy, for example, the MR modality.
3. Click Copy.
4. Select the modality for the toolbar you want to paste the toolbar into, for example the NM toolbar.
5. Click Paste.

The duplicate of the MR toolbar is pasted to the NM toolbar and the NM toolbar now offers the same tools as the MR toolbar.
