WEB1000 Home > Selecting studies
Searching the Server for studies
Before you can view study images or reports, you must define the search parameters to use to locate the study. The sending of search parameters to the Server database is also called a query. A search consists of one or more search criteria. You may choose up to six different search criteria and six different search constraints.
Tip:
A wildcard represents unknown information in a search: the asterisk (*) substitutes
for any number of characters, or the question mark (?) substitutes for a single
character. Use the wildcard when you are unsure of spelling or if you remember
only part of a word or number.
Some search criteria let you select from a list of constraints, such as different modality types. For these criteria, make a selection from the lists provided. Other search criteria such as patient name, patient ID, or accession number are specific to a study. You must type these constraints. If you do not know the entire patient name, you can enter wildcards. You must, however, specify the complete patient ID or accession number.
To search the Server
You must select Location as a criteria in each search. You can only use Location once per search. By default it is the first Search Criteria field.

See Search Criteria for a list of the search criteria and descriptions. The Date criteria can be used only once per search, but you may use the other criteria more than once. For example you can select Modality twice to search for both CT and CR.

Only studies that match all the parameters specified are displayed.
Note:
The server date and time are used when using the Date search constraint.
To reset the default criteria values
The criteria is reset to when you first opened for the session.
