:   does not load/JRE conflicts

When logging into , you were prompted to install Java JRE 1.4.2_05. After installing the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) files,  does not load.

With previous version of Java installed on the  machine, sometimes the newer Java version is not recognized and  does not launch correctly. In Internet Explorer, you may receive an error dialog that says: The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded from <file location>, where<file location> depends on your system set up. Or you may receive an error indicating there is a JRE conflict.

In Netscape, you may receive an error dialog that says: Java Plug-in detected JRE collision. If the most recent JRE installed on the  machine is a version after the one requested by the applet, then you are prompted to install the requested version even though it is already installed.

Update the JRE version in the Java Plug-in, then remove and re-add the browser.
