Viewing CT images with scout lines

The Display scout tool is only enabled for CT images but not all CT images offer scouts. The Display scout option allows you to see at exactly what part of the body the image was taken in the study. It opens a small window with an image of the examined body part with a line through it. The line represents the slice where the image was taken.

To view CT scout lines

  1. Click one of the full-screen viewing formats (for example, 1x1 format).
  2. Click Display scout.
  3. In the scout window, to adjust the scout image, click Adjust window level.
  4. To show all scout lines, click Multiline scout.
  5. To select the image at that slice location and watch the image change, click a scout line.
  6. To show only one scout line, click Multiline scout again.
